
BLOOMINGDALE BAND BOOSTERS
By definition, the role of a booster organization is to “boost” the band program in a positive and meaningful way. The Bloomingdale High School Band Boosters are the backbone of support for all students, staff, and the overall mission of musical excellence. Some of these dedicated adults are current parents, some are alumni parents, and others are generous community members who simply want to help. Without the ongoing support of these individuals, the program would not be what it is today. All parents of students enrolled in the BSHS Band program are automatically considered members of the Band Boosters, but if you’re ready to take your support to the next level, there are many ways to get involved:
EXECUTIVE BOARD & COMMITTEES
The Bloomingdale Band Boosters is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit made up of dedicated parents and supporters who work together to help the Rajun' Bull Band & Guard thrive. From fundraising to uniforms, chaperoning to spirit nights, we make sure our students have the resources and experiences they need to succeed and shine.
We hold monthly meetings, which all band parents and guardians are encouraged to attend, stay informed, and get involved!
THE EXECUTIVE BOARD
President
Leads board meetings, oversees all committees, and coordinates with the band director.
Vice President (1 & 2)
Supports the president and serves as a liaison for key events and programs
Treasurer
Manages the booster budget, fundraising finances, and accounting.
Secretary
Keeps records, meeting minutes, and handles official correspondence.
COMMITTEES & OTHER ROLES
Operations & Events
Uniforms – Distribute and maintain marching uniforms and concert attire.
Booster Membership – Manage the membership program and distribute swag and perks.
Awards – Organize recognition for students throughout the year.
Banquet – Plan and decorate for the end-of-year celebration, and Senior Night.
Running of the Bulls 5K – Coordinate our annual community race.
Silent Auction Night – Gather donations and run the auction.
Spirit Nights – Partner with local businesses for social, low-lift fundraisers.
Student Support
Historians – Capture and organize photos and memories throughout the year.
Chaperones – Organize volunteers to supervise students during games, trips, and competitions.
Communication/Publicity – Share updates, run social media, and manage emails or newsletters.
Hydration Station – Keep the band hydrated during events.
Cool Band – Sell and manage spirit wear and other merchandise.
Transportation – Help coordinate moving equipment and instruments for events.
